LG Electronics wins 7 best product honors in US
(Yonhap) — South Korean home appliances giant LG Electronics Inc. announced that seven of its products have won this year’s awards for the best performances from a U.S. reviewer Tuesday.
The company said its products, including an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TV and a washing machine, won the “Best of Year” title from Reviewed.com, a consumer product analyst.
Reviewed.com said the LG 65EF9500 OLED TV boasts outstanding resolution despite the relatively high sales price of around US$5,000, along with a design “that stands out from the crowd.”
The OLED TV also comes with high dynamic range technology, which allows screens to deliver vivid displays by optimizing brightness depending on colors, boasting improved quality compared with previous Ultra HD TVs.
LG’s WM8000HVA washing machine also won the Best of Year title for 2015, with the reviewer adding that the product is estimated to cost $30 per year in average water and energy costs.
