The Korea Times-organized event to be held at Koreatown’s The Line Hotel on Nov. 24
The 4th Korean American Political Conference (KAPOL) & Next Generation Leadership Forum will open at Koreatown’s The Line Hotel on Nov. 24.
The event, organized by The Korea Times and hosted by the Bright World Foundation and the Korean American Economic Development Center, will bring together newly elected officials and young leaders. KAPOL’s mission is to engage and build a network of Korean Americans, young professionals and students to foster leadership, increase knowledge of political involvement, and to enhance economic empowerment opportunities.
The event will highlight discussions about leadership and political involvement in the Korean American community.
Among those in attendance will be Young Kim, who won the State Assembly’s 65th District seat in last week’s general elections, as well as Michelle Park Steel (Orange County Supervisor, 2nd District), Choi Seok-ho (Irvine Mayor), Steve Hwangbo (La Palma City Council), Sandra Lee (Cypress School District Board of Education), Jane Kim (San Francisco City Hall), and David Moon (Maryland State Assembly 20th District).
