[LPGA] More Koreans earn LPGA Tour card for next season
[LPGA.com] – Two of the top young players in the world proved they were ready for the LPGA Tour as UCLA sophomore Alison Lee (Valencia, Calif.), who turned professional following her round, and Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 82 Minjee Lee (Perth, Australia) shared medalist honors at 10-under, 350, on Sunday at LPGA International. Alison Lee carded a final day even-par 72 while Lee posted a 1-over 71.
A total of 19 players have earned LPGA Tour membership through Category 12 on the priority list while a total of 23 players including world No. 37 Charley Hull (Kettering, England) have earned membership through Category 17.
However, 2005 U.S. Women’s Open champion Birdie Kim, six-year veteran Vicky Hurst, Mindy Kim (Diamond Bar, Calif.) were among those who failed to qualify. [READ MORE]
