July 31, 2014
The 50-year-old Korean man who was arrested on suspicion of murdering his girlfriend and roommate in May last year was found guilty Tuesday.
Kwang Choi “KC” Joy was found guilty of second-degree murder by a jury, Orange County prosecutors said.
According to prosecutors, Joy killed Maribel Ramos, 36, an army veteran who had asked him to move out of their apartment after he could not pay rent.
Her body was found decomposed near Modjeska Canyon on May 16, two weeks after she’d gone missing on May 2.
