March 27, 2015
Lower Manhattan in New York suffered an explosion Thursday which brought down three buildings — including a Korean-owned restaurant — and injured 19 people.
According to the Fire Department, the blast may have been caused by a gas leak inside Sushi Park, owned and operated by a Mr. Kim, at 3:20 p.m.
The fire started by the explosion spread to the buildings next to it, leveling them.
Nineteen people were injured, some of them critically, and two are missing as of Friday.
