Margaret Cho announces Showtime comedy special, fall tour
Margaret Cho is back in full force with a new comedy stand-up special and a fall tour.
“MARGARET CHO: psyCHO” will premiere on Showtime on Sept. 25. The following month, she will embark on the “psyCHO” tour, which will run October to November and take the comedian to cities including Minneapolis, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland and Miami.
The Showtime special was filmed at New York City’s Gramercy Theater in March.
“Never one to shy away from a difficult or taboo topic, Cho considers nothing off-limits,” the show’s description reads. “From singlehood to Boko Haram to female empowerment, Cho tackles difficult subjects with sensitivity and razor-sharp insight.”
“A big part of Margaret’s show are tributes to her ‘father in comedy,’ Robin Williams, and her ‘mother in comedy,’ Joan Rivers, who passed away within a month of one another,” her representative said.
Cho is expected to continue the tour in Europe through winter.
The comedian is a three-time Grammy- and Emmy-nominated talent and actress.
