MBLAQ’s Lee Joon and Thunder reportedly leaving group
MBLAQ members Lee Joon and Thunder are reportedly leaving the group following the end of their contracts with J.Tune Entertainment, Yonhap reported.
In a statement Monday, J.Tune Entertainment said it is true that Lee’s contract is coming to an end but that it has not been confirmed whether he will leave the group.
“Lee Joon plans to complete official group activities, including the MBLAQ concert at the end of next month,” it said.
The company said it is in the midst of talks with Lee about his future activities and that it would come to a final decision taking into account both his personal opinions as well as those of the rest of the members.
However, industry sources said Monday that Lee, 26, will continue focusing on his acting activities after leaving the band, while Thunder, 24, has plans to embark on solo activities, TVReport reported.
MBLAQ debuted in 2009. Lee has since starred in the film “Rough Play” as well as dramas like “Iris 2” and “Gap-dong.”
