January 22, 2015
A day after announcement, singer Lee Soo has left season three of MBC’s “I Am A Singer” amid a flurry of controversy surrounding his alleged past as a sex offender involving an underage girl in a prostitution ring.
According to Yonhap Thursday, the 33-year-old MC the Max vocalist was booted off the yet-to-air show after the network decided to follow viewers’ responses Wednesday to the cast announcement.
The show, back for the first time since 2012, features star singers in a survival-style singing competition. The remaining cast of season three includes Park Jung-hyun, So Chan-whee, Yang-pa, Sistar’s Hyo-rin, Sweet Sorrow and Ha Dong-kyun.
