Michael Bolton, Paul Potts to appear on KBS show
Paul Potts, a Welsh singer who won the first series of television talent show “Britain’s Got Talent” in 2007, will make a special appearance on KBS 2TV’s “Immortal Songs.”
News of Potts’ appearance comes shortly after renowned America singer Michael Bolton has recently finished recording for the show’s first ever, legendary foreign singer episode.
Post-recording, Bolton posted on his Twitter, “Inspiring night of phenomenal Korean singers on the TV show Immortal Songs. Kamsahamnida!”
Bolton’s numerous achievements include eight top 10 albums and two number one singles on the Billboard charts, as well as multiple American Music and Grammy Awards. Some of his biggest hits are “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” and “When a Man Loves A Woman.”
Potts will perform Na Hoon-a’s “Love” with musical actor Im Tae-kyung in a trot-themed episode.
Immortal Song’s producer Kwon Jae-young told Yonhap News, “Na Hoon-a’s ‘Love’ is a trot, but can be arranged into a classic song. When we suggested a trot song to Potts, he happily accepted.”
Potts has visited Korea before for concerts and television appearances, so the upcoming performance on “Immortal Song” will surely delight anticipating Korean audiences.
Bolton’s and Potts’ episodes will air on the 18th and 25th respectively.
