Milpitas library launches Korean culture program for K-pop lovers
January 23, 2015
A Korean culture program for K-pop and Hallyu lovers was launched at a public library in Milpitas, Calif., this week.
The library, which joined hands with the Korean Language and Culture Foundation for the program, will run five weeks in a lecture hall inside the library and provide in-depth insight into Korean culture for those interested in the country.
Librarian Stephen Fitzgerald said the library is always working to provide diverse services to the local community.
“We’re planning on trying to bring a Korean language program into Milpitas high schools,” said Goo Eun-hee, foundation chairperson.
Topics covered by the program will include Korean history and artifacts, the war, the Korean perspective and art.
