Mino from WINNER to drop first solo album next month
SEOUL, Nov. 26 (Yonhap) — Mino, the rapper of the K-pop boy band WINNER, will drop his first solo album next month, his management agency said Friday.
YG Entertainment uploaded on its publicity blog a teaser poster for Mino’s upcoming release, “Mino First Solo Album: XX.” The exact date of the release will be announced later, according to YG.
Mino, whose real name is Song Min-ho, began his K-pop career as an underground rapper and made his name known by winning the second prize on the popular rap competition TV show “Show Me the Money” in 2015.
In 2016, Mino launched a solo career, releasing his first solo digital single “Body.” Last year, he also unveiled the self-composed solo song “Turn off the Light” that was on WINNER’s second full-length album that came out in April.
