Missing Columbia University Dental student Jiwon Lee found dead
May 5, 2014
Jiwon Lee, the 29-year-old Columbia University Dental School student who has been missing for more than a month, has been found dead in the Hudson River.
Her body was pulled from the water on Saturday afternoon, after a passer-by spotted a body floating off the West 86th St. area.
The NYPD suspects suicide as she had been suffering from depression and had attempted suicide at least once before she disappeared. Her family has repeatedly rejected such a possibility, but she also reportedly left a suicide note at the apartment.
