NJ teen charged in death of Korean American woman
NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — Authorities have charged a teenage boy in the death of a Korean American woman who apparently was stabbed at a New Brunswick apartment building.
Middlesex County prosecutors say the 16-year-old Bridgewater boy is charged with juvenile delinquency in connection with murder and a weapons charge in the death of Christine Huh. The 23-year-old Franklin Township resident had been visiting a friend when she was attacked.
New Brunswick police went to the Paterson Street building around 3:10 a.m. Sunday and found Huh in a ninth-floor apartment. She was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.
The boy was found about three hours later in Bridgewater. He’s being held at a youth detention center pending a Family Court hearing.
While it appeared Huh had been stabbed, prosecutors say a cause of death has not been determined.
