Nodame meets Nodame: Ueno Juri says hello to Shim Eun-kyung
Nodame met Nodame in Seoul.
Japanese actress Ueno Juri, who played Noda Megumi in the original Japanese drama “Nodame Cantabile,” met with Korean actress Shim Eun-kyung, who was cast in the same role for the Korean remake titled “Cantabile Tomorrow,” at a restaurant in Cheongdam-dong, drama producer Group 8 said Thursday.
Ueno, 28, talked to Shim, 20, about her experience filming the drama and expressed her support, Yonhap reported.
Ueno visited Korea as a participant in a Seoul festival.
The series follows a coming-of-age story of a talented pianist, nicknamed Nodame, who falls in love with a conductor hopeful at a music academy.
“Cantabile Tomorrow,” starring Shim and Joo-won, is the remake of the popular Japanese drama that aired in 2006. It will air on KBS2 following “Discovery of Love” on Oct. 13.
