NorCal Korean man charged with killing wife
By The Korea Times San Francisco staff
Police in Newark, California, charged a Korean man with killing his wife Monday after finding her dead body inside their home following a call for a welfare check.
Kim Hee-jin, 39, was taken by police after they found him with two children, a four-year-old child and an infant. Police also found blood stains and broken items, according to CBS San Francisco.
The wife, Han Eun-kyoung, 38, was allegedly strangled.
Police said they went to go check in on the home located in the 5600 block of McLaughlin Avenue after someone called saying family in South Korea had not been able to reach the couple.
ABC News said Han was pronounced dead at the scene. Kim will appear in court today in Fremont and is being held in custody without bail.
