NY Assemblyman Ron Kim’s re-election campaign officially kicks off
September 29, 2014
Ron “Tae Sok” Kim, the first and only Korean American elected official in New York state, kicked off his re-election campaign on Sunday to extend his tenure as a member of the state’s assembly. The event took place in Flushing, New York.
U.S. Rep. Grace Meng (D-Queens) and New York Councilman Peter Koo were among those who attended to show support for the campaign.
During his previous term, Kim brought hundreds of millions of dollars for “pre-kindergarten, after school programs and teacher development programs,” according to his site.
