NY artists to remember Sewol with art exhibit
November 19, 2015
An art exhibit remembering the victims of the sunken Sewol ferry will open Nov. 28 inside Space Gabi in Manhattan.
Titled “Don’t Forget,” the exhibit will feature 50 artworks from local artists, Park Ye-seul, a ferry survivor and Danwon High School student, and Choi Yoon-ah, family of one of the victims.
An opening reception will be held beginning at 6 p.m. The exhibit will run through Dec. 5.
On April 16, 2014, a ferry boat carrying 476 passengers sank off near Jindo Island, South Korea, killing 304 and sending shock waves through the nation. Hundreds were high school students on their way to a field trip.
Space Gabi is located at 290 5th Ave., New York, NY 10001.
