Olympic uniforms: Colorful in shades of red, yellow and blue
May 12, 2016
RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Rio de Janeiro Olympic organizers have unveiled the staff and volunteer uniforms and ensured they will be easy to locate around the venues.
The outfits are colorful in shades of green, blue, yellow, red, and orange.
Carlos Nuzman, the head of the organizing committee, says the colors “transmit the energy of the Olympics, which is the energy we want to transmit to the world.”
The Olympics open on Aug. 5, followed the Paralympics on Sept. 7.
