Orioles OF Kim Hyun-soo 0 for 6 after two games
By The Korea Times Los Angeles staff
Baltimore Orioles’ $7 million Korean import Kim Hyun-soo went 0 for 3 for the second straight day.
The 28-year-old outfielder remained hitless after his team’s 11-4 exhibition game loss against the Atlanta Braves in Florida Wednesday. He went 0 for 3 previous day also against the same opponent, and admitted that he was nervous and thought too much at the plate.
Kim was inserted as the starting left fielder and batted second, but did fare any better. He grounded out to third against Aaron Blair, who gave up five hits and four runs in two innings, in the first inning, and flied out to right against Chris Ellis to lead off the third inning.
In the fifth, Kim battled hard-throwing reliever David Carpenter to a full count, but ended up grounding out to first baseman.
