Park Shin-yang, Go Hyun-jung cast for ‘My Lawyer, Mr. Jo 2′
SEOUL, Nov. 5 (Yonhap) — Actor Park Shin-yang and actress Go Hyun-jung have been cast for the second season of the popular television series, “My Lawyer, Mr. Jo,” the drama’s public relations agency said Monday.
Y Tree Company said the two veteran actors will face off in the legal comedy series, based on the webtoon, or web-based comic, of the same name, which is scheduled to broadcast in January on KBS 2TV.
The first season aired from March 28 to May 31, 2016, with its finale recording a 17.3 percent viewership rating, according to Nielsen Korea.
Park again will play lawyer Jo Deul-ho, who stands up for the weak and fights against injustice, while Go will perform the role of Lee Ja-kyung, a cold-blooded, cruel executive who goes to any length to achieve what she wants.
The series is the first for Go since her controversial drop-out from SBS TV’s “Return” earlier this year amid rumors she had fought with the drama’s producer.
