Play starring singer Kil Gun coming to LA
An anthology play, “The Best Love,” will run for 14 performances at the Korean Education of Los Angeles from Dec. 5 to 20.
Titled “The Best Love” and produced by ACom, the play explores four themes and features Korean singer Kil Gun, Bae So-yeon, Cheon Jong-hwan, Han Man-kyu and Park Seok-joon.
The four actors take on two to four roles each, Park said. The play has been performed in South Korea’s small-theatre-lined Daehangno for three years.
Kil, who is acting on stage for the first time, said it was her dream to become an actress and to do theater. She said she came across the project while preparing for a film and a U.S. tour.
“The Best Love” tells several love stories, including that of a pair of friends who have known each other for 15 years, the one-sided love of a 6-year-old girl for her uncle and that of an elderly couple.
People of all ages can relate with the play, Bae said. She said audiences will be able to feel the “best love” by the end.
