For public universities, UC Berkeley took the top spot, followed by UCLA, the University of Virginia, the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, William & Mary, Georgia Tech, and three UCs: Santa Barbara, Irvine and San Diego.
