Protest, and the protest against the protest
May 19, 2014
Opposing protests broke out in Los Angeles’ Koreatown on Sunday over the South Korean government’s handling of the ferry sinking that has cost hundreds of lives.
More than 100 protesters showed up to memorialize the victims of the sinking and to criticize the government at the Wilshire/Vermont metro station.
Across the street, a conservative organization held a protest against the other protesters, saying they should not politicize the ferry tragedy.
