Son Heung-min scores his 11th goal of the season
to end Bayer Leverkusen’s 9-game winless slide
South Korean soccer star Son Heung-min struck his eleventh goal of the season to pull out his Bundesliga club, Bayer Leverkusen, from a nine-game winless slide.
During Wednesday’s 3-1 Bundesliga victory at Augsburg, Son broke a 1-1 tie at the 80-minute mark with a shot from a seemingly impossible angle. It was his first goal since early February.
Less than two minutes later, Emre Can sealed Leverkusen’s victory with another goal.
Other Korean players, Ryu Seung-woo for Leverkusen and Hong Jung-ho for Augsburg, did not get in the game, and Augsburg did not list Ji Dong-won on their active roster for the game.
