Psy pays respects at Shin Hae-chul’s funeral
Singer-rapper Psy was reportedly overcome with emotion when he paid respects to late rocker Shin Hae-chul, openly weeping for his friend who died earlier this week.
Psy was one of the many notable figures who visited Seoul Asan Hospital in eastern Seoul to pay respects to the singer, who became famous with the band N.EX.T. The “Gangnam Style” singer sobbed heavily upon seeing a photograph of his friend at the memorial service, a local newspaper reported.
Psy and Shin’s relationship dates back to 2002, when they collaborated on a controversial performance to protest an incident in which two Korean school girls run over by a U.S. military armored vehicle.
Lee Soo of the musical trio M.C. The Max arrived at the memorial service shortly after Psy.
The late singer had produced M.C. The Max’ debut album pupil and treated Lee like a beloved pupil.
