Psy tops YouTube list of most-watched K-pop videos
Psy’s “Hangover” music video, which was released last June, was the most-watched K-pop video last year, according to Billboard.
“Hangover,” featuring Snoop Dogg, topped the list of “25 Top Viewed 2014 K-pop Videos in America” released Tuesday, making Psy the most-watched K-pop star — on YouTube, at least — three years in a row in the United States.
The video has garnered 172 million views globally as of Thursday. Psy’s “Gentleman,” released in 2013, sits at 782 million views, while “Gangnam Style,” which debuted to explosive popularity in 2012, is now at 2.2 billion — the most-watched YouTube video in history.
Psy was followed on the list by EXO’s “Overdose”, G-Dragon and Taeyang’s “Good Boy”, Taeyang’s “Eyes, Nose, Lips” and Girls’ Generation’s “Mr.Mr.”
