Putin gives Pushkin Award to S. Korean Kim Sun-min

Russian president Vladimir Putin gave out several awards to representatives of seven foreign countries including Kim Sun-min of South Korea.

As General Director of the Pushkin House Russian Culture and Education Centre, Kim received the Pushkin Award, which is given to those have made ”great contributions to the study and preservation of the Russian cultural heritage,” according the Russian Presidential Decree No. 1099.

“Traditionally, this reception is attended by our compatriots and foreign citizens who make a great contribution to strengthening multilateral ties with Russia,” Putin said in his speech. “We are always happy to see them and I would like to express our gratitude to each and every one of you.”

The ceremony was held at the Kremlin and also celebrated the national holiday, Russian National Unity Day.
