Renault Samsung, Lexus top 2018 satisfaction rankings
SEOUL, Oct. 5 (Yonhap) — Renault Samsung Motors Corp. and Lexus have beaten other car manufacturers in a South Korean consumer satisfaction survey in terms of sales and customer services, a local consumer survey company said Friday.
In a satisfaction survey for the automobile sector, Renault Samsung Motors beat its four domestic rivals — Hyundai Motor Co., Kia Motors Corp., GM Korea Co. and SsangYong Motor Co. — in the sales service index (SSI) and customer service index (CSI) for the second year running, Consumer Insight Inc. said in a statement.
Among imported carmakers, Lexus and Mercedes-Benz topped the SSI and the CSI, respectively, in the latest rankings. In 2017, Lexus and Toyota Motor Corp. were the No. 1 car importers in the two indexes, the statement said.
In initial and durable quality rankings, Hyundai Motor placed first last year but this year Lexus took the top spot, it said.
