Ryu to begin season on DL, no time table for return

The Dodgers revealed Tuesday that starting pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin will be placed on the disabled list indefinitely due to recurring shoulder pains.
Manager Don Mattingly revealed that Ryu would miss the beginning of the season on Sunday.
His most recent MRI showed no structural damage, but doctors have told Ryu to take two weeks off before another reevaluation according to John Heyman of CBS Sports.
As a result, the 27-year-old will most likely be replaced by Joe Wieland who was acquired during the offseason in the Matt Kemp trade.
The Dodgers are also considering minor leaguers Carlos Frias and Mike Bolsinger as substitute starters according to ESPN.
