S.M. Entertainment confirms Jessica’s departure
September 30, 2014
S.M. Entertainment, Girls’ Generation’s management company, finally confirmed Jessica’s departure but denied her claim that the company unilaterally kicked her out of the group.
According to the company, Jessica had already given notice to leave the band after an upcoming studio album. It also said that she and the band had many disagreements, including over Jessica’s fashion-related business.
“We decided to continue Girl’s Generation with eight members earlier than expected, and while talking about a date for the decision, Jessica left the post this morning,” the company said.
Jessica will continue to be backed by S.M. Entertainment, the company said.
