Samsung to release new curved-screen monitor Oct. 1
September 30, 2014
Samsung Electronics Co. will be debuting a new curved-screen monitor, the SD590C, on Oct. 1 for $429.99.
At a time when Samsung’s future looks uncertain in the smartphone market, this new technology could just be its saving grace.
The first of its kind, the 27-inch 1080p monitor claims to provides users with a wider field of view.
“Samsung engineers studied the human eye to determine the optimal screen curvature,” according to their site.
In simpler terms, the screen will seem bigger than it actually is and will do so in a natural way.
