Seventeen to mark 10th debut anniversary with studio album
K-pop boy band Seventeen will release its fifth studio album, “Happy Burstday,” next month to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its debut, the group’s agency said Tuesday.
It will be the group’s first full-length album in about three years, following “Face the Sun” in 2022.
The title “Happy Burstday” combines the words “birthday” and “burst,” symbolizing the group’s determination to be reborn as a new Seventeen.
The album is set for release on May 26, the same date the group made its debut a decade ago.
“Seventeen will connect with Carats worldwide through a variety of content, including its fifth studio album, and performances in celebration of the 10th anniversary,” the agency said, referring to the name of the group’s fan base.
The 13-member group will also hold meet-and-greet events for its Japanese fans in Osaka from April 24 to 27 and in Saitama from May 10 to 11.
