Shim Eun-ha on radio show
“Just doing missionary work”
Denies making a comeback
Shim Eun-ha, a popular actress of the 1990s, has returned to the public eye via a radio program. Ending a self-imposed exile for 13 years, the 42-year-old has returned to a slot with the Far East Broadcasting Company (FEBC), a Christian radio station.
Since Jan. 6, she has been airing Christian messages on the three-to five-minute-long program. The actress denied the move as part of any return to the entertainment business. Shim said firmly that she is just participating in missionary work. She revealed details of her Christian faith in the religious magazine “Light and Salt” in 2008.
Shim rose to stardom with the 1994 drama “The Last Match,” starring opposite actor Jang Dong-gun. Her movie hits included “Christmas in August” and “Art Museum by the Zoo,” both in 1998.
In 2005, she married Ji Sang-wuk, a career politician, and retired the following year.
