The Korea Football Association has announced that their National ‘A’ Team, the Taegeuk Warriors, will face fellow World Cup qualifiers Costa Rica at the iconic L.A. Memorial Coliseum Stadium on Saturday 25th January 2014 at 5 pm.
This will be the first International ‘A’ Match of 2014 between any World Cup qualified teams and will give both Nations a strong test in their build up to the FIFA World Cup Finals in Brazil this summer.
The sides last met in San Francisco in 2006 when Costa Rica were the victors with a 1-0 win.
“Costa Rica is traditionally well recognized as a strong football Nation,” said Korea Head Coach Hong Myung-Bo. “I am very excited to play against such a team and the match will be immensely beneficial and meaningful for our side. I assure you we are going to put our best effort for the match.”
