Silicon Valley Korean school celebrates 40 years
June 8, 2015
By The Korea Times San Francisco
Silicon Valley Korean School, the largest Korean language school in the U.S. with more than 1,200 enrolled students, held an event to celebrate its 40th anniversary Saturday.
Held inside Cupertino High School’s theater, the event served as the graduation ceremony for the class of 2015 and as a stage for a play about the school.
Students in the school’s special-interest organizations, including traditional dance, taekwondo and K-pop, put on performances throughout the event.
Principal Yoon Je-in said he hopes the school will surpass another 40 years and expand like a strong, healthy tree.
