Sistar’s Hyolyn to make a solo comeback
SEOUL, Oct. 17 (Yonhap) — Hyolyn, the leader and main singer of South Korea’s girl group Sistar, will drop a solo album for the first time in three years, her management said Monday.
Starship Entertainment unveiled the comeback schedule of the idol as well as the impressive lineup of collaborating artists featured in the album via the group’s official social media site.
According to the agency, the diva is preparing to drop pre-release tracks featuring eminent South Korean rapper Dok2 on Oct. 26 and Jay Park on Nov. 1. The singer’s highly anticipated second album will then be unveiled on Nov. 8.
Arousing considerable attention from the public, the album is said to cover three different concepts portrayed in three music videos, adding significance to the singer’s solo comeback after a three-year hiatus.
Hyolyn previously featured in the new album by world-renowned hip-hop group Far East Movement. Moreover, the diva had collaborated with three time Academy Award-winning producer and disco legend Giorgio Moroder, proving her nationwide recognition as an astounding vocalist.
The leader of the all-female quartet made her solo debut in November 2013 with her first album “Love & Hate” where the title track “One Way Love” swept local music charts at home and abroad.
