Sung-woo karma lives! Royals return to ALCS
By Brian Han
South Korean Kansas City Royals super fan Lee Sung-woo may not be in Missouri, but his team put together a memorable performance Wednesday against the Houston Astros to advance to the American League Championship Series.
Like many baseball fans, Lee is superstitious. If your team is showing signs of a comeback, it’s best not to change anything your doing in case it might affect their play — even if you’re in an entirely different country, lying in bed and watching updates on your phone.

Lee ended up not watching the elimination game because he had a business conference in China, but no matter he felt ecstatic by the outcome.

The Royals handed the Astros a 7-2 defeat leaving their opponents no hope by the ninth inning when stud closer Wade Davis blew high-90s fastballs past batter after batter.
Astros third baseman Luis Valbuena doused early hopes of the home team after hitting a two-run homer in the top of the second inning, but just like in Game 4 the Royals came from behind in dramatic fashion.
It all started when Royals outfielder Lorenzo Cain scored from first after a single by first baseman Eric Hosmer.
Then in the bottom of the eighth, designated hitter Kendrys Morales put the nail in the coffin with a three-run shot off of Astros ace Dallas Keuchel.
So for the second season in a row, the Royals will advance to the ALCS as the Astros finish a year in which they exceeded everyone’s expectations.
The Toronto Blue Jays will play the Royals in Game 1 on Friday at Kauffman Stadium.
