Super Junior’s Ryeowook to join army next month
September 21, 2016
SEOUL, Sept. 21 (Yonhap) — Ryewook, a member of the popular boy group Super Junior, is going to join the army next month, his management firm S.M. Entertainment said on Wednesday.
The singer will start a five-week training on Oct. 11 in Jeungpyeong County in North Chungcheong Province before serving his compulsory military duty for 21 months.
Aside from the group activities, he released his solo album in January and has been actively promoting it. He’s also worked as a radio DJ.
Prior to his enlistment, he is set to release “Cosmic,” a new song in collaboration with Bada, on the digital music channel “Station” at 12 a.m. on Friday.
All able-bodied South Korean men are required to complete their military service.
