Super Junior’s Sung-min to marry girlfriend in December
Super Junior’s Lee Sung-min, 28, and musical actress Kim Sa-eun, 29, confirmed they are getting married in December, Yonhap reported.
Lee said through Super Junior’s official homepage Tuesday in Korea that he and Kim are tying the knot on Dec. 13, less than a month after publicly acknowledging their relationship.
“I thought about the first sentence and how to first bring this up several times,” Lee said in the message.
“It wasn’t because of fear of my decision but because of the concern, ‘What if people I’m thankful to are too surprised or hurt?’” he wrote. “It’s a bit late, but I want to announce this myself with the courage given to me by everyone’s love and trust.”
Lee, the first member of the band to get married, thanked his fans and said he would continue his Super Junior activities. SM Entertainment confirmed that Lee’s marriage will not change his roles in the band in any way, Xsports News reported.
Office Eight Fish, Kim’s management company, also confirmed the marriage Tuesday.
Lee and Kim met while starring together in the musical “The Three Musketeers” earlier this year.
