T.O.P and Ueno Juri to star in upcoming drama
March 31, 2015
Big Bang’s T.O.P and top Japanese actress Ueno Juri will star in a drama together, Yonhap reported.
According to TV Daily, CJ E&M and AMUSE INC. will jointly plan and produce the project.
“This drama is aimed toward fans worldwide,” CJ E&M said.
The drama will draw a picture of the love story between a Korean man and a Japanese woman.
PD Lee Seung-hoon said original plans for the drama, which have been underway for almost a year, started with T.O.P and Ueno in mind.
Ueno is best known for her role as Nodame in the hit series “Nodame Cantabile,” which spawned a K-drama remake last year, while T.O.P has taken on a handful of acting roles in both television and film, most recently as the lead of the second “Tazza” film.
