New Jersey Koreans held their largest Chuseok event this weekend inside New Overpeck Park.
The event featured an art contest, a kimchi-making demonstration and other cultural programs, as well as performances by South Korean singer Sohyang and hip-hop group Untouchable.
“This was a festival not just for Koreans but for everyone in New Jersey to enjoy as one,” said Park Eun-rim, president of the Korean American Association of New Jersey, which organized the event.
KAANJ estimated that over 70,000 people showed up through the weekend.
