‘The Kind Mr. Tom Cruise’ dazzles Seoul fans at red carpet

Tom Cruise dazzled South Korea Thursday as he walked a red carpet in Seoul.

The 53-year-old actor, who most recently headlined “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation,” reportedly spent two hours moving down an 80-meter red carpet as he shook hands, took photos with fans and signed autographs.

The “Mission Impossible” promotion is his seventh visit to the nation.

The event, opened by top K-pop idol group Infinite, saw 2,000 fans crowding five floors of Lotte World Mall.

Cruise is known as “The Kind Mr. Tom” in Korea due to his past records of fan service. True to his reputation, the star began signing autographs as soon as he entered the event.

Telling the crowd “I love you” in Korean, he called being present at the event “an honor.”

As the fifth installment in the series, “Rogue Nation” has garnered positive reviews from critics and debuted Thursday in Korea. U.S. audiences will see the film released Friday.
