‘Tomorrow’s Cantabile’ to stream exclusively on co-producer DramaFever
By Tae Hong
“Tomorrow’s Cantabile,” the anticipated Korean remake based on the Japanese manga “Nodame Cantabile,” will be coming exclusively to DramaFever, which is co-producing the series, the streaming site announced Thursday.
Subtitled episodes in English, Spanish and Portuguese will be available for streaming within 24 hours of each episode’s broadcast on KBS, DramaFever said.
It has also partnered with the Almond Board of California to incorporate almonds into 15 of the drama’s episodes. This marks the second co-production of a K-drama by DramaFever, the first being “Heirs” last year.
“['Tomorrow's Cantabile'] is the ‘Odd Couple’ meets ‘Boys Over Flowers’ meets ‘Glee’ (but instrumental!), and we expect it to be very popular with viewers around the world,” DramaFever co-CEO Suk Park said in a press release.
The Korean series, starring Joo Won and Shim Eun-kyung, will closely follow the hit Japanese series based on the manga, “Nodame Cantabile,” which originally aired in 2009 and extended to two additional episodes and two movie specials.
The first episode will air on KBS on Oct. 13.
