Two East Coast school directors to receive merits from S. Korean govt

Two East Coast Korean school directors will receive merits from the South Korean government for their contributions to the advancement of the Korean written language.
Koh Eun-ja, director of the Korean School of Long Island, will receive a presidential merit for her role in the dissemination, research and education of Hangeul.
Hwang Hyun-joo, director of the Korean School of New Jersey, will receive a prime minister’s merit for her services volunteering as a weekend Korean language teacher for 10 years, as well as her role in leading the New Jersey institution.
Koh and Hwang will be presented with their honors at the New York Korean Consulate Thursday.
