Two South Korean films invited to AFI Fest 2015
Two South Korean films — “Right Now, Wrong Then” and “The Liar” — have been chosen to show at AFI Fest 2015, to be held in Hollywood from Nov. 5 to 12.
The annual festival will open with Director Angelina Jolie’s “By the Sea” and feature 127 films from 45 countries.
Festival attendees can watch Director Hong Sang-soo’s “Right Now, Wrong Then” on Nov. 7 and 9, and Director Kim Dong-myung’s “The Liar” on Nov. 8., inside the Chinese Theatre.
Hong’s effort, his 17th, stars Jung Jae-young and Kim Min-hee as a film director and painter and won the Golden Leopard at the 68th Locarno International Film Festival.
“The Liar” is an indie film about a young pathological liar living in Seoul.
