Veteran singer Choi He-joon dies

SEOUL, Aug. 24 (Yonhap) — Veteran singer Choi He-joon died Friday of an illness, officials at a Seoul hospital said. He was 82.
The memorial altar for Choi was set up at Seoul St. Mary’s Hospital. His coffin will be borne out on Sunday morning.
Choi made his debut on the country’s popular music scene in 1960. He subsequently produced a series of hit records such as the “Student Boarder.”
Choi served as lawmaker from 1996-2000. He graduated from the law department of Seoul National University in 1959.
