‘Veteran’ wins Asia award at Sitges film fest
October 20, 2015
South Korea’s most popular film of the year, “Veteran,” won the Focus Asia category at Spain’s Sitges Film Festival, Yonhap reported.
The film is director Ryoo Seung-wan’s second win at the festival following an honor for “The Unjust” in 2010, according to CJ Entertainment.
Sitges is one of the world’s foremost international film festivals focused on horror and fantasy.
“Veteran,” which was released in August, hit third on South Korea’s all-time box office list this month with more than 13 million moviegoers.
