June 2, 2015
By Kwon Ji-youn
Golfer Park Inbee held on to the No. 2 ranking this week, further narrowing the gap between herself and world No. 1 Lydia Ko.
Though Ko maintained a somewhat loose grip at the top for the 18th week when the world rankings were adjusted Tuesday, Park’s top-five finish at the Shoprite Classic in New Jersey saw her move to 10.73 ranking points, just 0.16 points behind Ko’s 10.89.
Both Park and Ko are set to tee up at the Manulife Financial LPGA Classic in Canada on Thursday, with Ko out to defend her No. 1 ranking, and Park to reclaim it. Park is the defending champion at the Manulife Classic.
Third-ranked Stacy Lewis follows with 9.54 points, and in fourth is Kim Hyo-Joo with 6.32.
