Yang has been making various donations along with his artists, including rapper Sean, and K-pop groups Big Bang and 2NE1.
Last year, YG Entertainment joined hands with the Severance Hospital of Yonsei University to help patients with heart diseases. Yang personally donated 100 million (nearly $100,000) at that time.
He also gave one billion won (nearly $1 million) he received in dividends as the major shareholder of the entertainment firm.
Married in 2012, Yang is a father of two.
