Yoon allows no earned run in his fourth minor league start, but …
April 24, 2014
South Korean pitcher Yoon Suk-min allowed only two unearned runs over five innings in his fourth minor league start, but his other numbers hardly looked impressive.
Starting for the Norfolk Tides, the Triple-A affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, against the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs on the road Wednesday, the 27-year old right-hander had just one 1-2-3 inning and one strike out. He allowed ten batters to get on base — eight hits and two walks—in first four innings.
Yoon did keep the ball down, with 10 ground outs against just two fly outs, and over his last three starts, his ERA is not too shabby 2.40 (4 earned runs over 15 innings).
